WHO IS JAY RADIO?

“She keeps me grounded”, Jay says regarding his wife, Nancy.

JAY RADIO IS… THE MAN.

Mr. Radio, known by many simply as “Jay”, is an officer at the East Side Youth Center (ESYC) which supports six major sports year round for 700 youth participants annually with over 100 totally volunteer coaches. He is to be RESPECTED. He’s been doing this before many of YOU were born.

Jay and his “right arm best friend”, wife Nancy, can best be described in three keywords – teamwork, volunteers, and teachers. They have been a married team for 40 years and they team together in nearly all of their community volunteer work — coaching, teaching, leadership, fund raising and developmental projects, primarily at East Side Youth Center (ESYC) in Allentown.

Their family interest in youth sports started when their three sons (Matt, Mark and Tim) participated in youth sports starting in 1982. The Radio’s involvement at ESYC has helped promote sports for thousands of athletes for the past 30 years! OVER… THIRTY … YEARS.

Jay is deeply proud and humbled to have his name given to the annual ESYC Elite Basketball Tournament! [FULL STORY CONTINUED]

  1. Met Mr. Radio over 2 years ago. It was late, and he was locking up the ESYC doors. I caught him just in time, and he gave me a tour of the entire facility. Enrolled by son in the Basketball program, and began coaching at ESYC. First impressions count! Rarely do you meet someone so giving and patient, with a grand heart for the community.

  2. Happy to be related to you though marriage. Your family is amazing. See you at the Stellars event in July.
