As positions become available at ESYC Hoops we will try to list them AT THE BOTTOM ON THIS PAGE.  However, If you have a talent or skill to offer, and do not see it listed here below, simply fill out the volunteer form below, or contact us at esychoops@gmail.com or 610-842-1606 — telling us what you’d like to do. We will try to match your interests with our needs. High School students and College Interns are more than welcome!

WE NEED:

Office Assistants, Coaches, Referees (Intramural), Data entry, Social Media Administrators (Facebook, Twitter), Sports Writers, Bloggers, Amateur Photographers, Amatuer Videographers (iPhones welcome!), Graphic Designers, Gym setup/clean up, Equipment managers, Tournament Event Staff, Concession stand, and more!

SEE  THE FOLLOWING DESIRED DUTIES, OR SUBMIT A VOLUNTEER FORM (BELOW) TELLING US WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO:

Girls Team Coaches:

School level: 3rd/4th Grade
Days: 2-4 days per week. Specific days to be determined
Hours: Approximately 1.5 hours or less per day (2-4 days per week)
Weeks: Approximately 12 weeks
Season: November to March
Summary: Competitive Travel Team play. May implement zone defense, half-court press. (Travel Teams, Preparation for ESYC Elite AAU Basketball, and Middle School play)
Girls Coordinator: Tanisha Wynder

Girls Team Coaches:
School level: 5th/6th Grade
Days: 2-4 days per week. Specific days to be determined
Hours: Approximately 1.5 hours or less per day (2-4 days per week)
Weeks: Approximately 12 weeks
Season: November to March
Summary: Competitive Travel Team play. May implement zone defense, half-court press. (Travel Teams, Preparation for ESYC Elite AAU Basketball, and High School play)

Winter Season Intramural Coaches:
School level: Kindergarten thru 4th Grade (teams split according to grade)
Days: K thru 2nd Grade – Saturday, 3rd/4th Grade TBD
Hours: Approximately 2 hours – 1 hour game, 1 hour practice for 2nd grade and above
Weeks: Approximately 12 weeks
Season: November to March
Summary: Coach players to implement basic fundamentals taught during pre-Game schedule Skills & Drills (dribbling, layup, pivot, defensive / offensive stance, passing, floor positions). Use zone offense, man-to-man defense. Emphasis on avoiding violations, including traveling, fouls, etc. Teams compete in-house; may compete with partner Intramural organization. Note: Intramural is a teaching/recreational environment. Players are prepared to enter the competitive arena (Travel Teams, ESYC Elite AAU Basketball)

Winter Season Intramural Referees:
Days: Saturday
Hours: Approximately 1 hour (game time)
Weeks: Approximately 12 weeks
School level: Kindergarten thru 4th grade
Season: November to March
Summary: Referee games whose focus is to officiate based on “looser” rules supporting basic fundamentals taught during pre-Game schedule Skills & Drills (dribbling, layup, pivot, defensive / offensive stance, passing, floor positions). Use zone offense, man-to-man defense. Emphasis on avoiding violations, including traveling (more than 3 steps), fouls, etc. Intramural game rules will be distributed prior to season. Note: Intramural is a teaching/recreational environment.
